Carol Field was thrilled to hand over more than £200 to Mel Beddard at Ross Health and Fitness at the weekend.
The money was half of the money raised for two cancer charities when Carol had her head shaved at Perfect Measure in New Street, Ross-on-Wye, on Saturday, September 10th.
Carol told the Ross Gazette she was thrilled to have raised so much for the Teenage Cancer Charity which Mel organises fund-raising activities for. Mel lost her son to cancer, and Carol said there were lots of tears when she handed her the money.
Carol is very grateful to Sharon Neville and Nicola Andrews and the rest of the team at Perfect Measure, as well as Caroline Page and Danie Ward from Ross Health and Fitness, who have been collecting donations for the Teenage Cancer Trust and Cancer Research.
Carol added that the final total has not been announced yet as so many kind people are still wanting to give donations.
