Ross-on-Wye has had a brilliant 2014 with many highlights. A number of the fantastic events that happened this year were organised by the Association of Ross Traders (ART).

The Pancake Races were as popular as ever this year, and the increasingly popular May Fayre saw thousands of people fill the town centre. The new Ross Week event celebrated local shops, and the Christmas Fayre was the busiest and best to date.In addition to these events, ART have organised for Christmas trees to be displayed around the town including the large one on the Market House apron, which was paid for by the Ross Rotary Club and lit with lights sponsored by many local businesses.

The ART website (http://www.ShopInRoss.co.uk">www.ShopInRoss.co.uk) has had a busy year featuring all the members businesses and giving full details of ART activities. The ART Gift Voucher Scheme enters its fourth year and remains a popular way of ensuring money stays in the town by encouraging people to spend with members of ART.

This year saw the ongoing promotion of the Shop in Ross Campaign, which encourages us to 'think and shop local'.

ART also oversaw the running of the hugely popular Odd Object Competition, which a record number of families enjoyed puzzling over in August. ART would like to thank all of its members, all of whom are busy running their own businesses as well as contributing a huge amount to the town. With even bigger, better plans for 2015, they would like to wish everyone a very happy and prosperous New Year.
