This Bank Holiday weekend, between August 24th and August 26th, Goodrich Church is organising a Flower Festival with a difference, called Village Life.
The many contributors will not be expert flower arrangers but members of about 15 different organisations in Goodrich. These include the School, the Village Hall Committee, Coppett Hill Trust, Tennis Club, Roaring Megs Choir, and many others.
The Goodrich Village Arts Group will be holding an exhibition of their work which will be on sale.
Parking is available in a field next to the Church, by the kind permission of Izzie Roper. Entrance is free - although generous donations would be appreciated as Goodrich Church, like many other organisations, is desperately in need of funds. Tea and cake will be available, and there is a raffle, for which one of the prizes is cream teas for two and free entry to Goodrich Castle.
On Friday, August 24th, there will be a Wine Preview at 7pm in the Church, with wine and canapes.
The Flower Festival will be open between 10am and 6pm on Saturday, and between 10am and 5.30pm on Sunday. Songs of Praise will be at 6pm.
