Dear Editor,

I would like to thank everyone who voted for me in the Ross East by-election last week, I’m very grateful for your support.

I will repay your trust by challenging the Town Council’s spending plans and trying to get Ross a better deal from the County Council. I’ll also be working with fellow Town Councillors to see how we can tackle the general air of neglect in the town and restore pride in Ross.

For those who did not vote for me, I hope I can earn your respect over the coming months.

In the next few weeks I plan to meet with the County Council, Balfour Beatty, West Mercia Police and Wye Valley NHS Trust to see what can be done about concerns raised during the election campaign. Progress on these issues will be reported through the Lib Dem Focus Newsletter.

I’ll be cycling around the ward regularly so if you see me do stop for a chat. I’ll be the one in the Hawaiian shirt.

Finally, thanks to the other candidates for an honourable contest, I wish them well for the future.
