Madam, Whilst I am really pleased to read about the exam results for John Kyrle, I was also very disappointed to learn about the amount of teachers leaving without any publicity or celebrations,most who have given many years' service to the school.

Mr Griffiths must have known for some time before the end of term, so what possible reason did he have for keeping this so quiet? When I read in your paper last week something was going to be organised in September I was a little shocked as these celebrations and thanks are usually done at the time of leaving, not two months later.

I am sure many parents past and present would like to have contributed in some way .The teachers named above are very well known for their dedication and commitment to the school and have made a huge difference to many young people's lives.
