Billy Wonky Legs, a much-loved local dog, paid a visit to the Dogs Trust charity shop in Ross-on-Wye this afternoon (Tuesday, March 8th).
Billy’s adoptive mum, Lynette Munoz told the Ross Gazette that the pair were there to show people how important it is to adopt a rescue dog, rather than buying a pedigree dog from a breeder.
Billy greeted visitors to the charity shop. The two-year old pooch played with his teddies while Lynette told people his story.
Billy Wonky Legs came from the streets of Songkla, in Thailand, with his siblings, Gino and Puff. The three puppies were found together in a gutter. A rescuer from ‘Save Thai Stray Cats and Dogs’ brought them to a vet in Bangkok for treatment, but sadly Gino died.
Lynette Munoz adopted Billy, and brought him home to Ross-on-Wye. She raised the funds to bring him back to the UK. Puff, Billy’s other sibling, still lives in Thailand.
Billy’s knees are deformed and he cannot walk normally, but he is still a friendly, happy and adorable little dog.
Billy has found a loving home with Lynette, but there are still many other dogs who need a home. If you can home one, please get in contact by calling the Ross branch on 01989 566768, or call into the charity shop on Broad Street.
