MEMBERS of the WRVS Friday Lunch Club were greeted with pretty pots

of daffodils on all their tables when they arrived on Friday, February 28th

The flowers had been donated by Ross Garden Store to bring a touch of

spring to the Ryefield Centre Dining Room. One couple who really appreciate

the Friday Club are Grace and Peter Mckeown. Grace uses a wheelchair and lives at Hazlefield Nursing home but Peter still lives in his own home. On a Friday the WRVS minibus collects Grace andbrings her to the Ryefield Centre where Peter is waiting for her and they enjoy lunch together.

The WRVS not only provides a delicious hot meal for the Friday Club they also deliver hot or frozen meals to their client's doors. Another couple, Mr and Mrs Llewellyn are grateful to theWRVS not just for the Friday Club but they are also regular users of Meals on Wheels.In Herefordshire WRVS delivers over 115,000 meals throughout the year.
