MADAM, with reference to the recent development in the Kings Caple polytunnels and migrant workers: as far as I'm concerned they are EEC workers. The TUC have campaigned for free movement of UK workers throughout the EC countries. They no doubt will not want to be called migrants. In the last referendum I voted against the EU but seeing the people from the rest of Europe working here, and knowing the ignorance that started WWI and WWII, I think it's now best left as we are now with Europe. In the last three months I have been unable to walk because of a problem in my spine. I thought of my late uncle Alfred Griffin who said that once on the deck of HMS?Nelson he was told the oak deck was 14 inches thick and would take some moving. But later, when they were bombed, how they floated and turned in the air like feathers. Best for Europe to be together, polytunnels or not.
