Residents at Brighterkind’s Ross Court Care Home, together with visitors from their sister home, Tewkesbury Fields, welcomed Margaret Jones and Mary Sinclair Powell from the Ross branch of the Royal British Legion for afternoon tea.

Having attended the Veterans Tea Party organised by the Ross RBL earlier in the year with special guests two Chelsea Pensioners, residents were eager to hear more about the link between the Chelsea Pensioners and Ross-on-Wye. Mary Sinclair Powell gave a highly informative presentation with a selection of both recent and historic photographs. She encouraged residents to share stories of their war years too.

Mrs Janet Auty, Ross Court Manager, and the residents are very grateful to the Royal British Legion for the visit, and look forward to welcoming them again.
