Rhiannon Jones, aged 21, of Ross Rowing Club, coxed the adaptive coxed IV to a stunning victory at the World Rowing Championships in Poland on Saturday.

They smashed the previous world record time by three seconds, setting a new record of 3 minuits 25 seconds. Rhiannon's crew, which took bronze at the Beijing Olympics, stormed through excellent opposition from Italy in the six crew final, with Germany 3rd.
