Residents living near to the Wilton roundabout in Ross-on-Wye have been informed that roadworks will be carried out on the A40 eastbound carriageway, between Pencraig and Wilton, between August 20th and August 25th.

Work will also be carried out on the Wilton roundabout on behalf of Highways England.

The work on the A40 carriageway will take place overnight and the road will be completely closed between 8pm until 8am on August 20th, and between 8pm and 6am on the following nights.

As closing the Wilton roundabout will involve a lengthy diversion route the contractors are proposing to carry out this section of the scheme during a single overnight closure. This will take place between 8pm on Saturday, August 20th until 8am on Sunday, August 21st.

Diversions will be put in place for light traffic and for HGV traffic.

For more information or if you have any queries contact the contractors, Kier on 0300 123 50000.

Their website, for information about diversions is www.highways.gov.uk/roads

The construction team leader added:?“I would like to apologise in advance for any inconvenience or disruption you may experience during this work. Every effort will be made to manage noise levels and additional lighting carefully, to minimise the local impact.”
