The High Noon service station at Whitchurch, on the A40 northbound, heading from Monmouth towards Ross-on-Wye, has been since before the New Year.

A spokesperson from West Mercia Police told the Ross Gazette: “The services are currently closed but this is not a police matter.”

Police had been called to the services during the closure at about 2.40pm on Friday January 6th, but this was a false alarm and officers found that there was no suspicious activity.

The Gazette understands that the franchise of High Noon Stores Ltd went into administration on December 30th. They operated convenience stores and petrol stations mainly in Wales.
