ROADWORKS are to be carried out on the A40 at Wilton and Whitchurch later this week.

National Highways’ maintenance contractor, Colas, has identified small sections of the carriageway in need of resurfacing.

Works will be carried out overnight on Friday / Saturday, January 10 and 11 between 9pm and 6am.

During this time, there will be a full closure of the A40 westbound carriageway between Wilton and Whitchurch. However, emergency vehicles will be granted access.

Colas apologises for the short notice and the inconvenience this may cause.

The contractors will make every effort to ensure the impact on the local community and travelling public is kept to a minimum.

They always aim to work to the programme, however unforeseen circumstances or adverse weather conditions may lead to changes.

If you have any questions, or if you would like to know more about their work, please call them on 0300 123 5000, email [email protected], or visit their website nationalhighways.co.uk/our-work/.

The completed works will provide a smoother and safer journey for all road users.
