NATIONAL Highways will be carrying out upcoming essential maintenance along the A40 between Wilton and Whitchurch, tonight Tuesday, December 9.
As part of this work, they’ll be completing targeted road repairs to provide a smoother and safer carriageway for road users.
They’ll work overnight whilst traffic volumes are lower, from 9pm to 6am on Tuesday, December 9.
To complete their work safely there will be a total closure of the A40 westbound between Wilton roundabout and the A4137/A40 junction. During closures, a fully signed diversion route will be in place as below.
Access for emergency services and frontages will be maintained throughout.
They’ll make every effort to ensure the impact on the local community and travelling public is kept to a minimum. They always aim to work to the programme, however unforeseen circumstances or adverse weather conditions may mean changes.
Please accept their apologies in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.
