The annual fundraising ball held for Acorn’s Children’s Hospice at the Chase Hotel, was another great success and more than £5000 was raised on the night.

The event organisers, Garry Davies, Chad Harris, Ian Phillips and Helen Powles were delighted with how well the evening went.

Martin Gold, the comedian, made them laugh until they cried and the ‘Holly Collins Band’ provided music for dancing until 1am.

Garry and Ian acted as the MCs for the night and the CEO of Acorns - Toby Porter attended.

The evening included a three course dinner with coffee, a silent raffle and an auction, and a total of £5734.90 was raised at the evening.

The organisers would like to thank everyone for their attendance and support and said: “It was a great night for such an amazing charity.”
