MADAM, Recently I have received a lot of complaints from residents and parents about the dog waste situation on Brampton Hill leading up to Brampton school.

Unfortunately the persistent offenders know they are causing a problem and, no matter how many times they are told, I believe they will only respond to an £80 fine.

A dog warden who can issue fines is available to come out from Herefordshire Council but we have to have specific times and instances for them to respond to.

If you know of someone who does not clean up after their dog, at a particular place and particular time each day, please report it to me in confidence so that I can arrange for the dog warden to catch that person in the act of failing to clean up after their pet.

I strongly believe this is the only way we will be able to combat this disgusting anti social, unacceptable behaviour and I will be doing all I can.
