An enthusiastic group of members of the Harewood End Agricultural Society watched as the President, John Chinn, handed over the HEAS archives to Rhys Griffith, Senior Archivist, at Herefordshire Archives and Record Centre.
This was the final event of the HEAS History Project and six large boxes, were handed to HARC at Rotherwas. Also deposited was a memory stick containing the research carried out for the book ‘Harewood End Agricultural Society, celebrating 125 years of farming in South Herefordshire’ written by Heather Hurley.
A tour of the new ‘cutting edge’ building was enjoyed before members viewed a selection of the Society’s minute books, press cuttings and ledgers in the Search Room. This was followed by a party celebrating the History Project’s success.
