The Emergency services were called to Pengethley, near Ross-on-Wye, at 12.40pm yesterday afternoon, Thursday, July 8th. A man had fallen 20 feet from a ladder and landed on concrete.
A spokesperson from the West Midlands Ambulance Service told the Ross Gazette that the man suffered multiple critical injuries. An ambulance, a rapid response vehicle and an air ambulance from Cosford attended the scene. A doctor was on board the air ambulance and they treated the patient at the scene to stabilise him. He was anaesthetised and airlifted to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham.The police were also in attendance at the scene, but the matter has now been passed on to the Health and Safety Executive.
