Double decker buses, vintage cars, even a flat bed lorry were all pressed into service by youngsters keen to make an entrance at the annual John Kyrle High School Year 11 Dinner and Dance.

The evening was a great success but some parents were held up collecting their youngsters after the party as fire crews from Ross Fire Station tackled a house fire in Gloucester Road, opposite the Chase Hotel.
