The staff and residents at Ross Court Care Home enjoyed a Teddy Bear’s Picnic on Wednesday, June 5th which was also attended by members of the Royal British Legion, and children who were enjoying activities with representatives from Wild Play.
Everybody brought in their own, much loved teddy bears, and these included some which belonged to the Care Home residents which were over 80 years old.
Magic Moments Co-ordinator, Clare Lockley, told the Ross Gazette that taking the teddy bears outside was also a fun way of getting the children interested and ready to learn about nature through Wild Play. Funded by Awards for All Lottery and working in partnership with the Ross Hedgehog Festival, Herefordshire Wildlife Trust’s organisation, Wild Play, will be returning to Ross Court in June and July for a butterfly and birds session, and a bug hotel building day.See this week’s paper for more stories like this, available in shops and as a Digital Edition now.
