Orchard Trust Day Services in Lydbrook had reason to celebrate recently after a successful first year for ACE.

ACE, which stands for Activities, Creativity, Engagement, is a day service that provides adults with learning and physical disabilities, the elderly, and the isolated, the opportunity to get out of the house and receive both mental and social stimulation within a safe, secure, friendly environment.

There is a huge variety of activities available including woodland walks, a working smallholding with livestock and seven different activity rooms, including a sensory room, training kitchen and a pottery kiln.

The group celebrated with everyone enjoying a slice of a sumptuous chocolate cake.
