Residents at Brighterkinds Ross Court enjoy regular deliveries of books and talking books from Herefordshire Library Services, courtesy of Clare Lockley.
When a request was made to Clare for additional poetry books, Clare suggested that she could visit and provide an afternoon of poetry for residents, allowing everyone to make some personal requests for the future too.
Clare focused on the works of local poets, from both Ledbury and the surrounding area, incorporating some humorous verses from Pam Ayres to make everyone laugh.
Several of the residents enjoyed sharing, either poetry which they had personally written, or favourite poems, even poems memorised from school days.
Clare suggested that she could return to hold a poetry writing workshop in the future, which was instantly accepted.
Barbara Burden gave a vote of thanks to Clare for a wonderful afternoon, stressing how important the library services are for everyone at Ross Court.
