Not for the first time in the 2014 Season has Ross Golf Club's tree-lined Course inspired a new member to achieve success in one of the Club's major events to book a place at the Annual Trophy Presentation Evening in September. On this occasion the Strong Trophy, an annual drawn mixed foursomes stableford competition, provided the setting for Lesley Ross and Stephen Price to combine to score an impressive 37 points total to win by a clear two points from runners-up, Dorothy Rees and Frank Gallagher. For Lesley it was a particularly satisfying outcome as she is in her first year as a Club member and even though Stephen, who is the Club's Honorary Treasurer, is no stranger to the Ross Course, it was his first win in a Club major to make it a double celebration.
