Ross ROADies held their annual Road Run on Monday, March 28th.
Event organiser, Colin Davies told the Ross Gazette: “I would like to thank all the vehicle owners who attended the event and I would like to give a very big thank you to Mike Johnson, his family and staff for allowing us to continue to use their facilities at The Yew Tree Inn. Our sincere thanks also go to everyone who gave raffle prizes or monetary donations, to further our fundraising for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity.”
The event was attended by the Mayor of Ross-on-Wye, Councillor Colin Gray, and the Mayoress Mrs Anne Gray. The total amount raised from the 2015 events is a fantastic £2400. The Mayor presented a cheque to Mary Sheldon, a representative of the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity (MAAC).
This brings the running total raised for the Midlands Air Ambulance to £10,000 since the Road Runs began in December 2010.
Colin said “Our fundraising for MAAC is ongoing, and profits from Monday’s event will be added to our next two 2016 Road Runs held on Bank Holiday Monday, August 29th and Bank Holiday Tuesday, December 27th, so that we will be able to add even more to our grand total next Easter.”
