An armed robbery At Symonds Yat Service Station is to feature on BBC Crimewatch tonight.Detectives in Herefordshire investigating an armed robbery at High Noon Service Station in Symonds Yat, will renew their appeal for information on the show tonight, Thursday, December 4th.
The appeal will be featured on BBC1 at 9pm. Crimewatch presenters will give details of the robbery and ask the public for any information that could lead to the arrest and conviction of the offenders.
The robbery happened at 9.55pm on Tuesday, October 7th. Staff were preparing to close the service station when two men, wearing face coverings and armed with a long barrelled over and under shotgun, entered the station and demanded money before making their escape in a blue Mitsubishi Pajero 4x4.
Detective Constable Philippa Conway said: "This type of crime is very rare in Herefordshire but we need the public's help to trace the offenders. Anyone with information should get in touch as soon as possible.
This was a nasty robbery and a very frightening experience for the staff at the service station. We hope that tonight's BBC Crimewatch feature will appeal to the conscience of those who may have information to come forward and help us bring these offenders to justice."
