AN opportunity to see the work of Arts Society volunteers have produced a crewelwork embroidery, illustrating the story of Hellens Manor from before the Norman conquest to the present day has been made available.

The dedicated team have been working on the 10-metre-long embroidery Since 2017 and on Thursday, October 16 this can be viewed at The Great Barn at Hellens Manor at Much Marcle between 10.30am and 5pm.

Also on display as part of a History in Stitches in the Great Barn will be details of their historic research, the embroidery’s evolution of its design along with extensive samples and source materials. Free entry and is open to all.

The tea room will be open between 10.30am and 4pm.
