If you’ve ever thought about doing something arty but not sure where to start, then just playing with the art tools on your iPad is good place! Many of us don’t realise what can be done on an iPad besides our browsing, emailing and picture taking. In the creative world it’s an audio picture and video editing tool, 3D building tool and an extensive art studio.
Your iPad is an incredible piece of kit. For any artist it’s like having all the tools of a mini art studio but in the comfort of your armchair. Gone are the days shelling out large sums of money for top of the range creative software which only the most powerful PC’s and Mac’s could run at smooth speeds. Now very affordable and powerful software applications from the Apple App store can provide you with amazing niche art tools. Each App will have a something it’s particularly good at, even if it’s a stripped down simple doodling app. You can start a design on one app and develop it in another and so on.
This course is a 4 week introduction and then a regular workshop to pick up tips, learn new drawing styles, create logo’s, flyers, illustrations and painterly artworks, and share ideas. The best thing about a digital studio is you can explore your imagination just by playing with all the art tools in these apps. The primary app used in this workshop is Procreate at £9.99, an industry leading mobile art program, used by designers, artists and illustrators. I’ll take you through all the aspects of Procreate so you can discover what fun you can have, how to start a project, develop it and export it to print.
All you need is an iPad 3 or later, including mini-iPads. Have a look at the amazing art which you can do on your iPad at https://procreate.art/showcase.
