Brighterkinds Ross Court was among the many care homes across the country who took part in National Care Home Day.

This year Janet Auty, Home Manager at Brighterkinds Ross Court wanted to thank the local community who are committed to providing an outstanding service for the residents at Ross Court. This included representatives of Pendeen and Alton Street surgeries, pharmacies, beauticians and taxi drivers, with many others. Everyone present received a rose from Brighterkinds Regional Manager Janet Richardson and Support Manager, Emma Jones.

Janet also presented Long Service Awards to members of Ross Court’s own team for their commitment. These ranged from 24 years to five years of service. The award had been made by local wood sculptor, Dave Johnson, depicting a flower from the gardens.

Joyce Thomas MBE, joined in to give her appreciation for the commitment that is shown to all Ross Court residents.

Residents and friends then joined together for lunch in the gardens to celebrate the outstanding achievements of both local service providers and an exceptional team of staff.
