Brockworth 9 Ross on Wye 15

Ross Rugby Club first team played away to Brockworth on Saturday. With both of these sides sitting in the top half of Gloucester Division 1 table, the win was crucial for both teams. It would set them up for the push for one of the two automatic promotion places, the scene was set for a physical encounter.

For the first twenty minutes Ross soaked up a lot of pressure as Brockworth looked to press home their home advatage. However since the Christmas break the Ross defence had not conceeded a try, so, although Brockworth huffed and puffed they never really looked like scoring.
