Ross Fire and Rescue Service, have also issued a plea on their Facebook page for people to stay at home if they don’t need to go out.

They said: “Our crews are trained and equipped to help people in need of rescue from water. With the current rain, we’re ready with dry suits and inflatable raft. Please remember all the pictures on the news a couple of weeks ago and if you don’t have to go out, please don’t. Especially after dark when floodwater is more difficult to spot and depth more difficult to gauge. Stay safe everyone .”

John Kyrle High School has had to postpone the sixth form open evening because of the poor weather.

They have apologised but said they cannot ask parents and staff to travel this evening given the conditions.

The event will ow take place on November 28th.

The OPU at West Mercia Police are dealing with a minor RTC on the M50 east bound, where a car rolled after aquaplaning. Again they are urging people to drive carefully.
