Dear Editor,

Morrisons is a food retailer, but hopes to open a separate barber’s shop in a town already well served.

The application maintains their often overcrowded parking would not be diminished but also that this development would take up four spaces on a high risk flood plain.

Faced with considerable public objection, the supermarket recently reversed their decision to charge for parking. Should their latest equally ill-conceived plan also be shelved?
