The sale of china, glass, kitchenware and vintage linen at St Mary’s Church in Tretire, near Ross-on-Wye, on Saturday was a very jolly event and also extremely worthwhile, raising £632 for church funds.
Local residents, and those from a little further away, all seemed delighted with their purchases as they visited this Victorian church set in the Herefordshire countryside.
Despite making lots of sales, there were 30 boxes of pretty good stuff left and these will be sent to Nigel Ward’s sale room at Pontrilas, so the total may increase.
The organisers are very grateful to everyone who donated the goods to sell, Nigel for his free valuation and everyone from Ross who came and supported us so generously.
They added:?“We also thank the Ross Gazette for their advertising and putting our little parish on the map.”
