Ross Golf Club's 5th Winter Stableford round to determine the final 12 players to contest the Barnfield Trophy final on Saturday March 6th, has taken place. They will join those who have already qualified.
The Stableford attracted 111 players. In handicap Division 1, Andy Crispe and Richard Moore, with 40 points each, ensured that they would be playing in the Barnfield, together with two 39 pointers, Robert Bodoano and Dave Ruff.
They were followed by Malcolm Thornton, on 38 points, and Danny Gear, with 37 points. As they have both qualified for the Trophy match already, this meant that Alex Bain and John Allen, also with 37 points each, will be able to take part in the final.
In Handicap Division 2, Richard Kimp topped the results table and his 43 points total earned him the best score of the day. The round 4 winner, Neil Winter, with 41 points on this occasion, continued his good form to finish runner-up.
