MADAM, Through your publication may we ask if you could print the results of the Poppy Collection during remembrance time for Ross and also the village of Peterstow. So far this year the Ross Appeal has raised in excess of £15,000, which is an increase of over £3000 from 2010.

We would like to thank the following people: The management of both Morrisons and Labels for allowing us to have collection points within their stores. They played a large part in our record total. All our dedicated collectors, counters and businesses – a sincere thank you. To the Youth Organisations, all our Cadets and Guides, who spent much time collecting in the Streets, Morrisons or house to house.

But most importantly the people of Ross, who have so generously donated to the Appeal this year.
