The Ross Macmillan Cancer Support group held its Big Sale in Ross Market Place on August 19th. The sun shone and with Steve Turner's street organ music, a happy atmosphere was soon created.

The chairman is very grateful to the hard working committee members and friends, who contributed so much in the way of time and donation of goods.

The bakers had all worked really hard and from the mountain of cakes at the beginning of the day only a few remained. The final total raised was £1085.

Macmillan Cancer Support is looking forward to another week in the charity shop in Gloucester Road from September 10th.
