Vicki Page, manager of Ross Preschool Playgroup, held a bingo night on Wednesday, August 14th at Bridstow School to raise money to support Ross Community Gardens to gain electricity into the gardens.
A fantastic amount of £500 was raised. Tim Shelley from Ross Community Gardens, pictured above, with Vicki said he was extremely grateful to her for organising this event and to Tessa Walton and Julie Holmes for all their help on the night. Vicki also thanked everyone who donated prizes and supported the bingo.
Ross Community Garden was established in 2013 and provides sessions for people who either have a learning disability, mental health illness, or have been long-term unemployed as well as organising visits for local schools.See this week’s paper for more stories like this, available in shops and as a Digital Edition now.
