Madam, Through the Ross Gazette can I please say a big "Thank to Ross. You excelled yourselves."

Monday, the day the Heart of England in Bloom judges came to Ross, was a super day for the town. The weather was wonderful. The atmosphere excellent with everyone coming out into the streets and to the Prospect to say hello, the charity market blossomed, the venues we visited top rate. Everyone had pulled out all the stops to make sure their town was bright and cheerful, clean and tidy.

Too many people to thank individually but the judges were delighted to meet younger members of the town as well as the volunteers working at all their different jobs during the day. Before they left the judges expressed their appreciation for their warm welcome, as they always love coming to our friendly and happy town. Well done everybody and thank you all so much. We will know in September how we got on but the smiles when they left hopefully indicate a very good result.
