A craft and gift fair at the Royal Hotel to raise fund for the Midlands Air Ambulance was a great success, much to the delight of Jarrod Lena, whose life was saved by Air Ambulance.

Jarrod, and his wife Lesley, who organised the event told the Ross Gazette that the event on Saturday, August 31st, was very busy with a large footfall of the general public who loved the products on sale and were very generous in purchasing raffle tickets. The raffle had over 50 prizes that where donated by the stall holders, members of the public and local businesses, who were very generous in what they gave.

The raffle and the sale of teas and coffees raised £410, then one local businessman donated a cheque for £100 making the total to date £510. Jarrod and Lesley still have the collection tins with other donations in to be collected and counted in the next 10 to 14 days when they will know the total amount raised.

Jarrod and Lesley told the Gazette: “We are so pleased with how the day went and the support from everyone.”See the full story in this week’s edition of the Ross Gazette, or subscribe to our online edition here
