Crowds of supporters, and those who enjoy the traditional sight of the hunt, thronged the centre of Ross on Boxing Day to see the Ross Harriers meet. The horses and hounds made a circuit of the town before riding off into the countryside.
Unfortunately the streets of Ross were also crowded on Boxing Day evening, and at 2.10am on Saturday, December 27th police were called to a disturbance and were told a man was injured.A police spokesman told the Ross Gazette:?"A
significant number of police resources attended Broad Street, Ross just after 2am on December 27th. This followed reports of disorder and an investigation is underway looking at the conduct of several persons present. A male received treatment from ambulance staff for a head injury, but this is believed to have been caused by him falling over, rather than being assaulted."
The Operational Patrol Unit tweeted: "Disorder in Ross as well. Some disgraceful alcohol induced behaviour witnessed tonight sadly."
