Every year the strongest most determined ice skaters in the world gather for a race around the frozen Lake Kallavesi in Finland. And this year Patrick Keen, who lives in Brampton Abbotts, is celebrating after his son, Teddy, was the only skater to finish the world's toughest ice race.

Despite temperatures of -30 and only being able to see the cracks in the ice because of the lights from his support car, he was the only competitor to complete the full distance of 200km. An heroic achievement which he carried out to raise funds for two special charities. See the full report in this week's Gazette.
