The heavy snowfall on December 10th brought down several trees and branches in the Ross area. Most of these were moved and cleared away. However several large branches which had fallen onto Brampton Road were still waiting to be picked up on Friday, December 15th.

A Balfour Beatty Living Places spokesperson told the Ross Gazette: “We are continuing to remove trees and hanging branches that are causing an obstruction, with priority given to those that are obstructing roads. We are aware that branches have been brought down on Brampton Road and aim to remove these in due course.”

When the Gazette questioned when this would happen, as it is a main route to school, the spokesperson said they would be cleared by Monday morning in time for the school run. The Gazette saw that this was the case.
