Dating back to the start of the 1900s, the building the Tudor chip shop stands in reputedly dates back to 1465, which actually pre-dates the dynasty it is named after by 20 years.

The business says: “The Tudor Fish & Chip has been serving Fish and Chips since 1902 and for nearly 35 years since taking over from her parents Anna and Vassos, Mary together with her husband Graham White has been serving both quality classic dishes and bringing a level of freshness and quality enjoyed by many locals and tourists.

“The classic design of the Tudor Fish & Chip shop has stood the test of time and having been serving fish and chips since 1902, it is now one of the oldest in Britain.”
