MP for Hereford & South Herefordshire, Jesse Norman, was given a very clear message when he visited Herefordshire For Brexit’s stand at Ross-on-Wye Market recently.
Supporters of the newly launched non party-political campaign group told Jesse Norman MP that the current Brexit plan was a betrayal of the 59.2% of Herefordians who voted Leave in June 2016.
Campaign founders, Christopher Kingsley and Sarah Rogan, said:?“Those who voted Leave know exactly what they voted for. They may not have foreseen every twist and turn of the Brexit process when voting but they know what independence means and Theresa May’s proposals would not give us that. People are furious and will not be betrayed. We intend to keep reminding our county MP’s that we expect them to deliver on the government’s promise of independence from the EU”.
Herefordshire For Brexit has launched a postcard petition that allows pro-Brexit Herefordians to sign a postcard which will be sent to our MPs. The first batch, collected in Ross, is on its way to them.
Herefordshire For Brexit will be campaigning in town centres and at local events regularly over the next few months.
