Alison Sheppard, and her son, Michael, who live in Bridstow, near Ross-on-Wye, have just completed a 30 mile walk to raise money for the National Star education centre in Hereford.
Alison has another son, David, who has complex disabilities. She was told he would never walk or talk, today he does both. David has been flourishing at National Star’s centre in Hereford but it desperately needs an educational outside space where the young people can relax and grow vegetables and plants.
Alison and Michael set themselves a tough challenge to raise funds towards the £25,000 which is needed, and completed their walk in just 10 hours on Sunday, July 3rd. They expected it to take 12 - 14 hours so were delighted to do so well.
They are very grateful for everyone’s support, anyone who would still like to donate can visit outdoorareaappeal.everydayhero.com/uk/alison
