Madam, Has anyone noticed how absurdly difficult it is to get to the Walford Road by entering Ross from the Wilton side of Ross?

I see that on page 64 of the 150 page ludicrous document about "Shaping Our Place 2026" it is stated: "...it will be necessary to ensure that any peripheral development integrates properly with the existing highway network and also provides sustainable transport links into the town".

For those of us who remember life before the one way system and how well that worked, being diverted around the rest of the town could be cured in an instant and with minimal cost:  Make the stretch between the Market Place and New Street TWO WAY.  Traffic approaching Ross via New Street can be in the Walford Road in seconds, additional traffic through the rest of the town is avoided and all that is required is a small modification to the wide pavements around the Market place and below.

My guess is that most sensible decisions about how to encourage trade and tourism into our town centres to keep them alive have been "drowned at birth" by distant NGO's and foreign bodies operating from Brussels.
