Broad Street, from close to the junction with New Street, and Brookend Street, in Ross-on-Wye, will be closed overnight on Friday, August 26th from 8pm until 6am on Saturday, August 27th.
This is to allow for patching work to the road surface to be carried out by Balfour Beatty and Tarmac on behalf of Herefordshire Council.
Access to properties along this road may be restricted during the night but traffic management operatives will be on hand to assist. Designated marshals, wearing blue armbands, will also be on hand to offer guidance during the time the work is taking place.
Children should not be allowed to run or play near to where the work is being carried out and people are advised to avoid walking on the new surfaces as the hot bituminous material may stick to footwear and tyres.
Any rubbish or recycling due to be collected should be placed in the usual place at the usual time.
Letters detailing the work have been hand-delivered to many of the properties in the area affected.
The work schedule may change in the event of unforeseen circumstances or adverse weather. All changes will be highlighted on the Advance Warning signs which are situated at both ends of the affected road.
