Mayor of Ross-on-Wye, Councillor Harry Bramer, and his Consort, Ms Marie Ward, attended the second Annual Burns Night Supper at The Royal Hotel on Friday, January 25th.
The evening was organised by the Ross-on-Wye Branch of the Royal British Legion.
In true tradition, the Haggis was ‘piped in’ by Pipe Major Robert Pinkman and the haggis was ‘addressed’ by Mr Alan Harris of Ross RBL.
The sound of the pipes drew the attention of some children sitting in the nearby dining room, and pictured is Polly Jones with her mother Jemma Jones being introduced to the Piper.
What is now hoped to become a Ross Branch tradition raised over £200 for branch funds and was attended by a full dining room at The Royal.
