Rossiter Books, which has shops in Ross-on-Wye and Monmouth, has made the shortlist for this year’s Independent Bookshops of the Year in the British Book Awards.

The British Book Awards, or Nibbies, is the definitive event for honouring the commercial successes of publishers, authors and bookshops.

The Nibbies celebrate the complete journey of a book from the author’s mind to the reader’s hand. It is about the story itself, but also the way that publishing and bookselling contribute both to the story telling and to finding an audience.

Rossiter Books is a family run business, and was set up by husband and wife team, Andy and Victoria Rossiter, and opened in Ross in 2010. The Monmouth shop opened the following year. Together with their team, they provide a broad range of books, expert knowledge, and arrange a busy and exciting programme of author events throughout the year. They have been shortlisted for the Independent Bookshops of the Year award for the last six years.

Regional winners will be announced at the London Book Fair on March 15th and an overall winner will be awarded the accolade at the British Book Awards at Grosvenor House Hotel on May 8th.
