Christ Church on Edde Cross Street invites everyone from Ross to come in and share a communal pot-luck meal and find out more about their plans for a new church and community space on the site.

There will be a chance to meet the architect, to share hopes, fears and aspirations for the building and chat with the NEST team from the church working on the project. Come along on Thursday 22nd June at 6.30pm in the church on Edde Cross Street.

The idea for the new community space is an opportunity to build not simply a new church, but a ‘NEST’, a place of safety, sanctuary and support for all people, particularly at vulnerable stages in life. The vision for a new space is one that is open and inclusive to all, where everyone would be welcomed, heard and valued and which provides a programme of services for community groups.

“We felt a pot-luck meal, where people bring along a plate of food or snacks to share, was a good way to invite the whole community in and share with them our ideas,” explained Reverend Deborah Cornish.

“We’ve had a great response to our survey so far and we’d invite people to still log on and fill in the on-line survey at www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/ChristchurchROW. It takes two minutes and it’s really important we reach as many people as possible.

Hard copies are available from outside the Church foyer or from the Town Council office, Larruperz Centre and from the Doctors’ surgeries.”
