It was with great pleasure that we have noted your reports during the summer of the fit young men and women reporting with joy their completion of the National Three Peaks Challenge within the 24 hours allowed.

We think that this joy should not be the prerogative of the young and are asking whether there are any other pensioners in Ross happy to join with us in completing the challenge next summer.

It is not only walkers that are needed, drivers who can deliver the walkers to the agreed points, after driving through the night are fundamental to a successful challenge. We could have a wonderful couple of days and show the youngsters a thing or two.
